Engineering Experience

Undergraduate Researcher Mar 2024 - Present

  • I am a researcher in Professor Wenchao Li's Dependable Computing Lab, Boston University College of Engineering.
  • I implemented Python scripts with ROS Noetic for autonomously controlling a Robotics Arm, preparing for embedding machine learning and localization in the Robotics Arm.
  • In addition, with the team, I assisted in the Safe and Connected Autonomous Vehicles research project; testing and developing code in Python with ROS Melodic for path planning and control and feedback algorithm (PID tuning) to function an autonomous robot.

Process Engineer May 2024 - July 2024

  • I was offered the summer 2024 internship at Bank of Thailand, Note Printing Work.
  • Researching in banknote process engineering and development projects, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for $2.7M Quality Inspection Machine that increased defect classification accuracy from 68% to 85% and reduced the waiting time of defect report by 99.17%.
  • Developed Deep Learning (ResNet101) and Machine Learning (Multi-class classification) models utilizing AI Image Processing for defect banknote classification in high-security environments.
  • Restructured how Computer Vision perceived the images and extracted XML files to facilitate the model; Improved accuracy from 68.23% to 85.67%, particularly improving one of the defect detections from 5.3% to 84.45%.
  • Implemented Python script with batch file to automate the model implementation via BOT's server resulting in decreasing waiting time for the report from 5 days to 1 hour.
  • Applying Lean Manufacturing for designing new Industrial Plant Planning for one of the process flows, integrating pull system to optimize the process resulting in 200% increase in production storage area.
  • Researching in AGV for one of the process flows, designing the Robot Path Planning that will increase OEE(A) of product transfer in assembly line from 64.3% to 85.7%.
  • Presenting the projects to the manager, director, and senior director.
  • Assisting Senior Engineer in process flows and training sessions for new machinery, bridging language barriers between German instructors from the vendor and Thai technicians.
